| Police negotiating with armed man inside New Mexico jail CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) — Authorities say they are negotiating with an armed suspect inside a county jail in eastern New Mexico. The Eastern New Mexico News reports the man pulled out a handgun after he was taken inside the Curry County Adult Detention Center to be booked on unknown charges.
